C’est la Vie
Champagne/Upper Loire
Maximum Capacity: 8 Guests
As one of the newest luxury hotel barges, it was fully outfitted with all contemporary conveniences. The upper deck showcased a climate-controlled lounge and dining areas, enhanced by numerous windows that offered a sweeping view of the charming countryside. The four cabin suites were meticulously crafted, providing either king-size or twin beds, along with private bathrooms. Each room featured climate control, a workstation, 220 & 110 volts, and generous storage space for luggage. Bluetooth speakers enabled guests to enjoy their own playlists, along with other amenities that guaranteed an exceptional cruising experience.
The rich cherry wood paneled walls and ceilings, highlighted by sleek black ironwood, created a cozy ambiance in the four expansive state rooms, each brightened by three windows on either side, allowing sunlight to stream in throughout the day. All state rooms included private bathrooms equipped with elegant marble-topped vanity units. The outdoor sun deck, adorned with exquisite teak flooring and furnishings, served as a perfect location for dining al fresco or relaxing under the adjustable sunshade, offering either shelter or sunlight as preferred.
In addition to an extensive selection of wines, a well-appointed bar presented a broad array of refreshments for all guests. The galley was designed for the skilled chef to prepare exquisite meals. With 21-speed bicycles available, guests could discover the scenic beauty along the towpaths or cycle into nearby villages, reuniting with C’est La Vie at the next lock. The wheelhouse allowed passengers to engage with the captain and experience the voyage from a distinctive viewpoint.
